Avamys 27.5 mcg/spray

Indication

Corticosteroid nasal spray for the treatment of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as blocked, runny or itchy nose, sneezing, and itchy, watery, red eyes.

Ingredients

• Fluticasone furoate 27.5 micrograms per spray

Direction

Shake well before use. Adults and children 12 years and older: 2 sprays in each nostril once daily; once symptoms are controlled, may reduce to 1 spray in each nostril once daily. Children 6–11 years: 1 spray in each nostril once daily, increased to 2 sprays if needed. For nasal use only.

Side effects

• Nosebleeds
• Ulceration or irritation inside the nose
• Headache
• With long
• term use: slowed growth in children
• and rarely eye changes such as glaucoma or cataract

Precautions

• Prescription medicine – use as directed by a doctor
• Tell your doctor if you take ritonavir or other strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
• Children's growth should be monitored during long
• term treatment
• Consult a doctor if you have eye problems such as glaucoma or cataracts
• Not for use in children under 6 years
