Cefa P.P.M 250 mg

Indication

Cephalosporin antibiotic for bacterial infections due to sensitive micro-organisms (ear-nose-throat, respiratory tract, urinary tract and skin infections, as stated for the 500 mg capsules of the same brand).

Ingredients

• Cefalexin 250 mg per sachet

Direction

Oral route. Pour the contents of one sachet into half a glass of water, stir for a few seconds and drink immediately. The dose is set by the doctor according to body weight.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain
• headache
• Skin rash or itching
• seek urgent medical help for swelling of the face or throat
• difficulty breathing
• severe or bloody diarrhoea

Precautions

• Antibiotic: use only as prescribed or advised by a doctor and complete the full course
• Do not use if you are allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins
• Tell the doctor if you have kidney disease or are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Keep out of reach of children.
