Indication

Local treatment of bacterial external otitis with an intact eardrum, in particular infected eczema of the external ear canal.

Ingredients

• Neomycin sulfate 650
• 000 IU per 100 ml
• Polymyxin B sulfate 1
• 000
• 000 IU per 100 ml
• Dexamethasone metasulfobenzoate sodium 0.100 g per 100 ml

Direction

Ear drops, for local instillation into the ear only. Adults: 1 to 5 drops in the affected ear twice daily (morning and evening); children: 1 or 2 drops according to age, twice daily. Do not swallow. Respect the prescribed doses and read the leaflet before use. Prescription only.

Side effects

• Never use if the eardrum is perforated: risk of hearing loss and balance disorders. Other effects may include growth of resistant germs or fungal infection
• and local skin reactions or depigmentation (the product contains thiomersal). Consult a doctor or pharmacist

Precautions

• Prescription only. Do not use in case of perforated eardrum. Do not use during pregnancy unless there is no therapeutic alternative. Do not swallow. Keep out of reach of children. Read the leaflet before use and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
