Mucomyst 200 mg

Indication

Mucolytic for recent respiratory conditions with difficulty expectorating bronchial secretions (productive cough, e.g. acute bronchitis). It thins the mucus in the bronchi and makes it easier to cough up.

• Acetylcysteine 200 mg

Direction

Oral use. Dissolve the powder in half a glass of water and drink, preferably before the main meals. Follow the dosage in the leaflet or as directed by a doctor or pharmacist.

Side effects

• Digestive upset (stomach pain
• nausea
• diarrhea
• mouth inflammation)
• reduce the dose if this occurs
• Rarely
• bronchospasm or severe allergic reactions (including anaphylactic shock and severe skin reactions)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to acetylcysteine or any other ingredient
• Use with caution if you have a history of asthma or bronchospasm

• Each sachet contains 1.31 g of sucrose and 58 mg of sodium
