Indication

Treatment of herpes simplex viral infections of the skin, including initial and recurrent genital herpes and herpes labialis (cold sores).

Ingredients

• Aciclovir 5% w/w

Direction

Apply a sufficient quantity to the skin every three hours, six times daily, for seven days. For external use only. Refer to the package insert for dosage and other information.

Side effects

• Mild pain
• burning or stinging at the application site
• Itching or skin rash
• Mild dryness or flaking of the skin
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply inside the mouth or vagina
• Do not use if allergic to aciclovir or valaciclovir
• Does not prevent transmission of herpes to sexual partners
• See a doctor if there is no improvement within a few days
