Ascoril Tablets 2 mg / 8 mg / 100 mg

Indication

Bronchodilator, mucolytic and expectorant for productive cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis and emphysema.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol (as Salbutamol Sulphate BP) 2 mg
• Bromhexine Hydrochloride BP 8 mg
• Guaifenesin USP 100 mg

Direction

Dosage as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea or stomach pain
• Headache
• tremor
• muscle cramp or increased heart rate
• Rash or sweating
• guaifenesin may turn urine pink
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if these persist
• and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Use with caution in kidney or liver impairment
• heart disease
• high blood pressure
• overactive thyroid
• diabetes
• convulsive disorders or a history of peptic ulcer
• Ask a doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
• May cause drowsiness
• avoid alcohol and use caution when driving
• Keep out of reach of children
