Indication
Expectorant and mucolytic syrup for wet (productive) cough and cough due to bronchitis or emphysema. Bromhexine thins thick mucus and guaifenesin loosens phlegm so it is easier to cough up.
Ingredients
- Bromhexine HCl 4 mg per 5 mL
- Guaifenesin 100 mg per 5 mL
- Ethanol 6% v/v
Direction
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 teaspoonfuls (10 mL) 3 times a day. Children 6-12 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 mL) 3 times a day. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Occasional gastrointestinal disturbance
