Indication
Zyrtec Allergy (cetirizine) is an antihistamine for fast relief of allergies: symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy watery eyes) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives, itching).
Ingredients
- Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg
Direction
Adults and children 12 years and older: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily. Children 6 to 12 years: 5 mg (half a tablet) twice daily. Swallow with a glass of water, with or without food. In kidney impairment the dose should be reduced as directed by a doctor.
Side effects
- Drowsiness or tiredness
- Headache or dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Sore throat
- nausea or abdominal discomfort
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
- and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
- Not recommended for children under 6 years in tablet form.
- Avoid alcohol
- use caution when driving or operating machinery if drowsiness occurs.
- Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease
- epilepsy or risk of urinary retention.
- Contains lactose
- not suitable for patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
