Acemuc 200 mg

Indication

Mucolytic for cough with thick mucus: breaks down phlegm, dissolves mucus and relieves cough in acute and chronic respiratory conditions with viscous secretions.

Ingredients

• Acetylcysteine 200 mg per 1 g sachet

Direction

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water before taking. Adults and children over 7 years: 1 sachet 3 times daily. Children 2 to 7 years: 1 sachet 2 times daily. Or as directed by a physician; read the package insert before use.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting or diarrhoea
• Stomach discomfort
• Skin rash or itching (rare)
• Bronchospasm in patients with asthma (rare)
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect is troublesome or persists
• and stop use if an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use in children under 2 years of age or in patients allergic to acetylcysteine.
• Use with caution in patients with asthma or a history of bronchospasm
• or with peptic ulcer.
• Do not take with cough suppressants (antitussives).
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
