Indication
Bepanthen First Aid is a non-stinging antiseptic wound healing cream for superficial/minor wounds of any kind when there is a risk of infection, e.g. abrasions, small cuts, scratches, fissures, rhagades, mild burns, sores and ulcers; infected skin irritations; and skin damage and external surgical wounds in minor surgery. Chlorhexidine disinfects the wound while dexpanthenol supports the natural healing process.
Ingredients
- Dexpanthenol 50 mg per gram (5%)
- Chlorhexidine hydrochloride 5 mg per gram (0.5%)
Direction
For external use only. Clean the wound as thoroughly as possible, then apply a thin layer on the inflamed skin areas several times a day until the wound has healed. Dressings may be used but are not necessary.
Side effects
- Skin irritation
- rash or itching may occur in rare cases.
- Allergic reactions to chlorhexidine (rash

- swelling
- lightheadedness or rapid heartbeat) are possible
- stop use and seek immediate medical help if they occur.

Precautions
