Indication
Mucolytic for the treatment of bronchial secretion disorders, particularly during acute bronchial conditions: acute bronchitis and acute episodes of chronic bronchopulmonary diseases.
Ingredients
- Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg
Direction
Oral route. Adults: 2 to 4 tablets, 3 times a day. Children: 0.5 mg/kg/day. Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. Treatment should not exceed 8 to 10 days without medical advice. See leaflet.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea or stomach upset
- Headache or dizziness
- Sweating
- Transient rise in liver enzymes (rare)
- Rarely
- rash or allergic reactions
- including severe skin reactions
- stop use and seek medical help
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual effect occurs
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to bromhexine or any ingredient
- Use with caution in peptic ulcer
- and in liver or kidney impairment
- Use with caution in asthma
- mucolytics may increase bronchial secretions
- Treatment should not exceed 8
- 10 days without medical advice
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant
- breastfeeding or taking other medicines
