Prospan Cough Syrup 100ml

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of productive cough in adults and children due to bronchitis or upper respiratory tract infections.

Ingredients

• Ivy leaf dry extract (Hedera helix L.) 35 mg per 5 mL

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 5–7.5 mL (1–1.5 teaspoons) three times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 mL three times daily. Children 1–5 years: 2.5 mL (0.5 teaspoon) twice daily. Shake well before use. Take with fluid.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting (rare).
• Diarrhoea (rare).
• Allergic reactions (rare).

Precautions

• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 1 week or are accompanied by high fever.
• Not recommended for use in infants under 1 year.
• May cause gastrointestinal upset at higher doses.
• Rare hypersensitivity reactions possible (especially in patients allergic to plants of Araliaceae family).
• Keep out of reach of children.
