Indication
Corticosteroid nasal spray for the relief of nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including hay fever (nasal congestion, sneezing, runny and itchy nose).
Ingredients
- Flunisolide 0.25 mg/ml (0.025%)
Direction
For intranasal use only. Shake well before use. Use one to two sprays in each nostril two times daily, or as directed by the physician. Children 6-14 years usually 1 spray in each nostril up to three times daily as prescribed. Reduce to the lowest effective dose once symptoms are controlled. Read the package insert for full prescribing information.
Side effects
- Mild transient nasal burning or stinging
- Nasal dryness or irritation
- Nosebleed or blood
- tinged mucus
- Headache
- Sore throat or unpleasant taste or smell
- Rarely nasal septum perforation
- nasal or throat fungal infection

Precautions
- On prescription only
- Do not use if allergic to flunisolide or any ingredient
- Do not use in untreated local infections of the nose
- use with caution in tuberculosis or recent nasal ulcers

- term use may slow growth in children

- Avoid exposure to chickenpox or measles while using corticosteroids
- Prolonged use may increase the risk of glaucoma or cataract
- Do not spray into the eyes
