Indication
Topical antibiotic + corticosteroid + antifungal cream for inflammatory skin conditions (eczema, dermatitis) complicated by bacterial and/or fungal infection, such as infected eczema, intertrigo, tinea (ringworm, jock itch, athlete's foot) and candidal skin infections with inflammation and itching.
Ingredients
- Gentamicin (as sulfate BP) 1 mg/g
- Betamethasone (as dipropionate USP) 0.5 mg/g
- Clotrimazole BP 10 mg/g
Direction
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the clean, dry affected area as directed by the physician (usually 1-2 times daily). Read the package insert for full details.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- itching or irritation at the application site
- Redness
- dryness or rash
- Prolonged use may cause skin thinning (atrophy)
- striae or changes in skin colour
- Rarely
- allergic contact dermatitis
- stop use and consult a doctor
Precautions
- For external use only
- do not swallow
- Avoid contact with eyes
- mouth and other mucous membranes
- Do not use on large areas
- broken skin
- or under airtight dressings for long periods
- Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
- not for untreated viral skin infections (e.g. chickenpox
- herpes)
- Use in children
- pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a doctor's advice
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
- Keep out of reach of children
