Indication
Antiviral cream for the treatment of herpes simplex virus infections of the skin, including recurrent cold sores (herpes labialis) and genital herpes lesions.
Ingredients
- Aciclovir BP 5% w/w
Direction
For external use only. Apply to the affected area 5 times per day (about every 4 hours while awake) for 4 days. Start therapy as early as possible after the first signs and symptoms. Adolescents 12 years and older: same dose as adults, or as directed by the physician.
Side effects
- Transient burning or stinging after application
- Mild drying or flaking of the skin
- Itching or redness
- Rarely
- contact dermatitis or allergic reaction

Precautions
- For external use only
- not for use in the eyes
- mouth or vagina
- Do not use if allergic to aciclovir
- valaciclovir or any ingredient
- Wash hands before and after application and avoid touching lesions to prevent spreading the infection
- Immunocompromised patients should consult a doctor
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist after 10 days
- or during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs
- Keep out of reach of children
