Indication
Children's paracetamol for the reduction of fever and relief of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, toothache, teething pain and aches associated with colds and flu.
Ingredients
- Paracetamol 325 mg per sachet
Direction
Oral. Dissolve one sachet in a little water before taking. Usual dose 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4-6 hours, not more than 4 doses (60 mg/kg) in 24 hours; dose by body weight as directed in the insert leaflet or by a doctor or pharmacist.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated at recommended doses
- Rarely
- skin rash
- itching or other allergic reactions
- stop use and seek medical help
- Very rarely
- serious skin reactions (redness
- blistering
- peeling)
- stop immediately and see a doctor
- Rarely
- blood disorders such as low platelets or white cells
- Overdose can cause serious
- possibly fatal liver damage
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to paracetamol or any ingredient
- Do not exceed the stated dose
- do not take with other paracetamol
- containing products
- Use with caution in liver or kidney impairment
- chronic alcohol use or malnutrition
- Seek medical advice if fever lasts more than 3 days or pain more than 5 days
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
