Indication
Analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID) for rapid relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, backache, muscular pain, dental pain and period pain, and for reduction of fever.
Ingredients
- Ibuprofen 400 mg
Direction
Oral use, as directed by the physician. Usual adult dose: 1 capsule (400 mg) every 6 to 8 hours with or after food, swallowed whole with water; do not exceed 3 capsules (1200 mg) in 24 hours unless prescribed. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
Side effects
- Stomach pain
- heartburn
- nausea or indigestion
- Diarrhoea or constipation
- Headache or dizziness
- Rarely
- stomach ulcer or bleeding (black stools
- vomiting blood)
- stop use and seek medical help
- Rarely
- allergic reactions such as rash
- swelling or breathing difficulty
Precautions
- Prescription medicine: not to be sold by retail without the prescription of a registered medical practitioner
- Bronchospasm may be precipitated in patients with or with a history of bronchial asthma
- Do not give to patients in whom aspirin or other NSAIDs induce asthma
- rhinitis or urticaria
- Do not use with active stomach ulcer or bleeding
- or severe heart
- liver or kidney failure
- Avoid in the last trimester of pregnancy
- consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Do not take with other NSAIDs
- consult a doctor if taking anticoagulants or blood
- pressure medicines
- Keep out of reach of children
