Indication
Topical corticosteroid with antibiotic for inflammatory and itchy skin conditions (such as eczema and dermatitis) that are responsive to corticosteroids and complicated by, or at risk of, bacterial infection.
Ingredients
- Fluocinolone acetonide 0.025% w/w
- Neomycin sulphate 0.5% w/w
Direction
For external application only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2 to 3 times daily, or as directed by a doctor. To be used only under medical supervision; do not use for longer than prescribed.
Side effects
- Local burning
- itching
- irritation or dryness at the application site
- Skin thinning (atrophy)
- stretch marks or acne
- like eruptions with prolonged use
- Allergic contact dermatitis (neomycin sensitivity)
- Rarely
- systemic corticosteroid effects with extensive or long
- term use
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- For external use only
- avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
- Do not use if allergic to fluocinolone
- neomycin
- other aminoglycosides or any ingredient
- Do not use on untreated viral (herpes
- chickenpox)
- fungal or tubercular skin infections
- Avoid prolonged use
- large areas
- broken skin or occlusive dressings
- use on the face only on medical advice
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women: consult a doctor before use
- Use under medical supervision
