Indication
Broad-spectrum dermatological cream (corticosteroid + antifungal + antibiotic) for inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal and/or bacterial infection, such as infected eczema and dermatitis, tinea (ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch) with inflammation, and candidal skin infections.
Ingredients
- Betamethasone dipropionate 0.64 mg/g
- Clotrimazole 10 mg/g
- Gentamicin sulfate 1 mg/g (potency)
Direction
For external use only. Gently rub an adequate amount of cream onto the affected and surrounding skin areas once to several times a day as needed (usually twice daily), or as directed by a doctor. Read the package insert carefully before use.
Side effects
- Burning
- stinging
- itching
- redness or dryness at the application site
- Skin thinning
- stretch marks
- telangiectasia or acne
- like eruptions with prolonged use
- Allergic contact dermatitis
- Systemic corticosteroid effects possible with extensive or long
- term use
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- For external use only
- avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes
- Do not use if allergic to betamethasone
- clotrimazole
- gentamicin
- other aminoglycosides or any ingredient
- Do not use on viral skin infections (herpes
- chickenpox)
- skin tuberculosis or deep ulcers
- Avoid prolonged use
- large areas
- broken skin
- the face and occlusive dressings unless directed by a doctor
