Indication
Antifungal plus anti-inflammatory cream for fungal skin infections with inflammation and/or itching, such as ringworm, tinea versicolor, athlete's foot (Hong Kong foot), jock itch (groin), fungal infection of the armpits and skin folds, and skin candidiasis (e.g. Candida balanitis).
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole 1% w/w
- Betamethasone (as valerate) 0.1% w/w
Direction
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the infected and inflamed area 2-3 times a day, or as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Local burning
- stinging
- itching or irritation
- Skin dryness or redness
- Prolonged or extensive use may cause skin thinning
- stretch marks or discoloration (corticosteroid effects)
- Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if irritation or allergy occurs
Precautions
- For external use only
- avoid contact with the eyes and mouth
- Do not use on untreated bacterial or viral skin infections (e.g. herpes
- chickenpox)
- Avoid prolonged use
- use on large areas or under occlusive dressings
- Use on the face
- in children
- during pregnancy or breastfeeding only on a doctor's advice
- Do not use if allergic to clotrimazole
