Stamlo 5 mg

Indication

Treatment of hypertension and of chronic stable angina and vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine (as besilate) 5 mg

Direction

Take by mouth once daily with or without food, as directed by the physician. Usual starting dose is 5 mg once daily; maximum 10 mg once daily.

Side effects

• Ankle or leg swelling (oedema)
• Headache
• dizziness or flushing
• Tiredness
• palpitations
• nausea or abdominal pain
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• and stop use and seek advice if an allergic reaction or unusual symptoms occur.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine
• do not exceed the indicated dose
• Use with caution in liver impairment
• heart failure or severe aortic stenosis
• Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor
• Do not use if allergic to amlodipine or other dihydropyridines
