Domperdone Suspension 5 mg/5 ml (30 ml)

Indication

Antiemetic for the relief of nausea and vomiting.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 5 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Shake the bottle well before use. Adults and adolescents (12 years and older, weighing 35 kg or more): 10 ml (10 mg) up to three times daily, maximum 30 mg per day. Children under 35 kg: 0.25 mg/kg up to three times daily, only as directed by a doctor. Take before meals; use for the shortest time possible (usually no longer than 1 week).

• Drowsiness
• headache
• nervousness
• Breast enlargement
• breast tenderness or milk discharge
• menstrual changes
• Rarely: irregular heartbeat
• involuntary movements
• allergic reactions
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if a serious reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to domperidone
• with a prolactin
• releasing pituitary tumour
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• obstruction or perforation
• or moderate to severe liver impairment.
• Do not use with heart rhythm disorders (QT prolongation) or with medicines that prolong the QT interval or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
• erythromycin).
• Use with caution in kidney impairment
• pregnancy and breastfeeding.
