Dacin-F 300 mg

Indication

Treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and Gram-positive cocci (streptococci, staphylococci), including skin and soft-tissue infections, bone and joint infections, dental infections, lower respiratory tract infections and intra-abdominal or pelvic infections.

Ingredients

• Clindamycin (as hydrochloride) 300 mg

Direction

Follow the prescribed dose. Usual adult dose: 150–300 mg every 6 hours; up to 450 mg every 6 hours for more severe infections. Take with a full glass of water to avoid oesophageal irritation.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea
• severe or bloody diarrhoea may indicate Clostridioides difficile colitis and needs urgent medical attention
• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea or abdominal pain
• Skin rash or itching
• stop and seek medical help if a severe allergic reaction occurs
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to clindamycin or lincomycin
• Stop and see a doctor if severe or persistent diarrhoea develops
• Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor
• Tell your doctor if pregnant
