Roxicam-Forte 20 mg

Indication

NSAID for relief of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.

Ingredients

• Piroxicam 20 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 capsule (20 mg) once daily by mouth with or after food, as prescribed by the doctor. Do not exceed 20 mg per day. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Side effects

• Stomach pain
• indigestion
• nausea
• diarrhoea or heartburn.
• Headache
• dizziness
• fluid retention or raised blood pressure.
• Rarely stomach ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding (black stools
• vomiting blood)
• liver or kidney problems
• serious skin or allergic reactions.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if unsure
• stop use and seek urgent help if bleeding
• chest pain or a severe allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine: use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time.
• Do not use if allergic to piroxicam
• aspirin or other NSAIDs
• or with active stomach ulcer/bleeding
• severe heart
• liver or kidney failure.
• Use with caution in heart disease
• high blood pressure
• asthma
• the elderly
• and with anticoagulants
• steroids or other NSAIDs.
• Not recommended in pregnancy (contraindicated in the last trimester) or breastfeeding
• consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
