Futend-3 1% / 0.05% / 0.5% (30 g)

Indication

Triple-action (antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory) skin cream for the soothing treatment of itching, irritation and inflammation in corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses complicated by fungal and/or bacterial infection, such as infected eczema and dermatitis and tinea infections.

Ingredients

• Clotrimazole BP 1.0% w/w
• Betamethasone dipropionate BP equivalent to betamethasone 0.05% w/w
• Neomycin sulphate BP 0.5% w/w

Direction

Apply sparingly to the affected area two to three times a day or as directed by the physician. Avoid use on broken skin. Read the enclosed leaflet before use. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Puncture the nozzle seal with the piercing point of the cap.

Side effects

• irritation or redness at the application site.
• Prolonged or extensive use may cause skin thinning (atrophy)
• striae
• telangiectasia
• folliculitis
• changes in skin colour or other corticosteroid effects.
• Allergic contact sensitisation to the antibiotic component
• prolonged use may allow growth of resistant organisms.

Precautions

• For external use only
• avoid contact with eyes.
• Avoid use on broken skin or open wounds unless advised by a doctor.
• Do not use for long periods
• on large areas
• on the face or under occlusive dressings unless directed by a doctor.
• Do not use on viral skin infections such as herpes
• chickenpox or shingles
• or on skin tuberculosis.
