Levothyrox 75 µg

Indication

Treatment of hypothyroidism (thyroid hormone deficiency), and suppression of TSH in goitre and after treatment of thyroid cancer.

Ingredients

• Levothyroxine sodium 75 µg

Direction

Take once daily in the morning on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, with a glass of water. The dose is set by the doctor according to blood tests (TSH).

Side effects

• Signs of excess dose: palpitations
• fast heartbeat
• tremor
• Insomnia
• nervousness
• sweating
• heat intolerance
• Weight loss
• diarrhoea
• headache
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription only
• respect the prescribed doses and have regular TSH checks.
• Not to be used for weight loss.
• Use with care in heart disease
• adrenal insufficiency or diabetes.
• Take at least 2
• 4 hours apart from calcium
• iron or antacids
• tell your doctor about other medicines.
• Do not switch brands without medical advice.
