Indication

Relief of nausea and vomiting.

Ingredients

• Domperidone 10 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and older weighing 35 kg or more: 10 mg (1 tablet) up to three times daily, preferably before meals; maximum 30 mg per day. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration (usually not more than 1 week), as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• Dry mouth
• Headache
• drowsiness or nervousness
• Diarrhoea or abdominal cramps
• Breast enlargement
• breast pain or milk discharge
• menstrual changes
• Rarely irregular heartbeat (QT prolongation)

Precautions

• Do not use with heart rhythm problems
• moderate or severe liver disease
• prolactin
• releasing pituitary tumour
• or gastrointestinal bleeding
• obstruction or perforation
• Do not combine with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
• erythromycin) or QT
• prolonging drugs
• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with kidney impairment
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
