Indication

Corticosteroid for inflammatory, allergic and immune conditions such as severe allergies, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and other inflammatory skin, joint or blood disorders, as prescribed by a doctor.

Ingredients

• Methylprednisolone 4 mg

Direction

Prescription only medicine, oral route. Dose is individualised by the doctor according to the condition (commonly 4–48 mg per day, usually taken in the morning with food). Do not stop suddenly after prolonged use; the dose should be tapered as directed. Read the enclosed leaflet.

Precautions

• Do not use with systemic fungal infections or hypersensitivity to methylprednisolone
• Avoid live vaccines during treatment
• Use with caution in diabetes
