Diaryl 200 mg

Indication

Intestinal antibacterial indicated for the treatment of acute bacterial diarrhoea.

Ingredients

• Nifuroxazide 200 mg

Direction

Oral route. Children from 6 years: 3 to 4 capsules per day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Adults: 4 capsules per day divided into 2 to 4 doses. Treatment must not last longer than 7 days. Maintain adequate fluid intake (oral rehydration).

Side effects

• Allergic reactions such as skin rash
• itching or hives.
• Rarely severe allergic reactions (swelling of face
• breathing difficulty) – stop and seek medical help.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and if any unusual effect occurs.

Precautions

• Do not use in children under 6 years or if allergic to nitrofuran derivatives.
• Do not exceed 7 days of treatment
• see a doctor if diarrhoea persists beyond 2 days
• or with fever
• blood in stools or vomiting.
• Rehydration is essential
• especially in children and the elderly.
• Avoid alcohol during treatment.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and if any unusual effect occurs.
