Indication
RIVIFLAM is a combination antipyretic and analgesic suspension for children, used to relieve fever, mild to moderate pain associated with teething, headache, and musculoskeletal conditions.
Ingredients
- Ibuprofen 100 mg per 5 ml
- Paracetamol 250 mg per 5 ml
Direction
Children: dose is based on body weight and age as directed by a physician. Typically 5–10 ml (depending on concentration) every 6–8 hours as needed. Shake well before use. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- or abdominal discomfort.
- Allergic reactions (rash
- urticaria) — rare.
- Gastrointestinal irritation from ibuprofen component.
Precautions
- Do not use with other products containing paracetamol or ibuprofen simultaneously.
- Avoid in children with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or NSAIDs.
- Use with caution in children with renal or hepatic impairment.
- Do not use in children under 3 months without medical advice.
- Ibuprofen may worsen asthma in susceptible children.
- Consult a doctor if fever persists for more than 3 days.
