Triamcinolone Cream 30g 1% + 0.1%

Indication

Used for inflammatory skin conditions complicated by bacterial or fungal infection, such as infected eczema, dermatitis, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses with secondary infection.

Ingredients

• Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1%
• Neomycin sulfate 1% (or Nystatin 1%)

Direction

Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected area 2–3 times daily. Gently massage into skin. Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical supervision. Children: Use under medical supervision; limit duration of use.

Side effects

• Skin atrophy and thinning with prolonged use.
• Burning or stinging at application site.
• Contact dermatitis from neomycin.
• Hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
• Striae (stretch marks).
• Adrenal suppression with extensive use.
• Acneiform eruptions.

Precautions

• Avoid use on the face unless directed by a physician.
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
• Do not use on open wounds or infected areas without medical advice.
• Prolonged use may cause skin thinning

• Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
• Keep away from children without supervision.
