Salboget 100mcg

Indication

Salboget is a bronchodilator inhaler used for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in asthma and reversible obstructive airway disease, including exercise-induced bronchospasm.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol sulfate equivalent to Salbutamol 100 mcg per actuation

Direction

Adults and children 4 years and over: For acute bronchospasm — 1–2 puffs (100–200 mcg) as needed. For exercise-induced prevention — 2 puffs 15–30 minutes before exercise. Maximum: 8 puffs in 24 hours. Shake inhaler before use; breathe out fully, inhale deeply while pressing the canister, then hold breath for 10 seconds.

Side effects

• Fine tremor of the hands.
• Headache.
• Palpitations and increased heart rate.
• Muscle cramps.
• Hypokalaemia with high doses.
• Nervousness.
• Paradoxical bronchospasm (rare).

Precautions

• Consult a doctor if you have heart disease
• hypertension
• or hyperthyroidism.
• Overuse may indicate poorly controlled asthma
• seek medical review.
• Not for children under 4 years without medical supervision.
• Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Avoid use with MAOIs or tricyclic antidepressants.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not puncture or burn the canister.
