Mediclovir Diclofenac 50mg

Indication

Mediclovir (Diclofenac 50 mg) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with rheumatic disease, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and post-operative or post-traumatic pain.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac sodium 50 mg

Direction

Adults: 50 mg two to three times daily with or after food. The maximum daily dose is 150 mg. Take with food or milk to minimise gastrointestinal irritation.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal upset
• nausea
• abdominal pain.
• Peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Oedema (fluid retention).
• Elevated liver enzymes.
• Skin rash.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer
• severe heart failure
• severe renal or hepatic impairment.
• Avoid in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Increases risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack
• stroke) with long
• term use.
• Do not use with other NSAIDs or aspirin.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
• Keep out of reach of children.
