Diaryl Nifuroxazide 200mg/5ml

Indication

Diaryl (Nifuroxazide) is an intestinal antiseptic used for the treatment of acute diarrhoea caused by bacterial infection of the digestive tract.

Ingredients

• Nifuroxazide 200 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Adults and children over 6 years: 10 ml (400 mg) four times daily for 3–7 days. Children 2–5 years: 5 ml (200 mg) three to four times daily. Children under 6 months: consult a physician. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Nausea or vomiting.
• Allergic reactions (rash
• urticaria) — rare.
• Urine may appear yellow
• orange (harmless).

Precautions

• Not effective against viral or parasitic diarrhoea.
• Maintain adequate fluid intake to prevent dehydration.
• Seek medical attention for blood in stool
• high fever
• or diarrhoea lasting more than 2 days in children.
• Keep out of reach of children.
