Indication
Diaryl (Nifuroxazide) is an intestinal antiseptic used for the treatment of acute diarrhoea caused by bacterial infection of the digestive tract.
Ingredients
- Nifuroxazide 200 mg per 5 ml
Direction
Adults and children over 6 years: 10 ml (400 mg) four times daily for 3–7 days. Children 2–5 years: 5 ml (200 mg) three to four times daily. Children under 6 months: consult a physician. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting.
- Allergic reactions (rash
- urticaria) — rare.
- Urine may appear yellow
- orange (harmless).
Precautions
- Not effective against viral or parasitic diarrhoea.
- Maintain adequate fluid intake to prevent dehydration.
- Seek medical attention for blood in stool
- high fever
- or diarrhoea lasting more than 2 days in children.
- Keep out of reach of children.
