Bioflor 250mg Saccharomyces boulardii 250mg

Indication

Bioflor 250 mg is a probiotic used for the treatment and prevention of diarrhoea, including antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, traveller's diarrhoea, and diarrhoea caused by Clostridium difficile.

Ingredients

• Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I
• 745 250 mg

Direction

Adults: 1–2 sachets/capsules (250–500 mg) twice daily. Children: 1 sachet/capsule (250 mg) once to twice daily. Duration as directed by a physician. Contents may be dissolved in water or mixed with cool food.

Side effects

• Flatulence or bloating (usually mild and transient).
• Constipation.
• Fungaemia (in severely immunocompromised patients — rare).

Precautions

• Use with extreme caution in immunocompromised patients (risk of fungaemia reported).
• Avoid taking with antifungal agents (may reduce efficacy).
• Do not mix with hot liquids (heat kills the organism).
• Keep out of reach of children.
