Lansoprazole Lansoprazole 30mg

Indication

Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), duodenal and gastric ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and as part of H. pylori eradication regimens.

Ingredients

• Lansoprazole 30 mg

Direction

Adults: Take 30 mg once daily before a meal, typically in the morning. For ulcer healing: 30 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks. For GERD maintenance: 15–30 mg once daily. Swallow capsule whole; do not crush or chew.

Side effects

• Headache.
• Nausea
• diarrhoea
• or constipation.
• Abdominal pain.
• Dizziness.
• Rash (rare).
• Hypomagnesaemia with long
• term use.

Precautions

• Long
• term use may increase risk of bone fractures
• hypomagnesaemia
• and vitamin B12 deficiency.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• May reduce absorption of drugs requiring acidic pH (ketoconazole
• iron).
• May reduce clopidogrel efficacy.
• Keep out of reach of children.
