Indication
XLH-KIT is a combination pack for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection as part of triple therapy, to treat and prevent recurrence of peptic ulcer disease associated with H. pylori.
Ingredients
- Lansoprazole 30 mg
- Clarithromycin 500 mg
- Amoxicillin 1000 mg
Direction
Adults: Take all three components (proton pump inhibitor + two antibiotics) twice daily for 7β14 days as directed by a physician. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea
- or abdominal pain.
- Taste disturbance (metallic taste β clarithromycin).
- Headache.
- Skin rash or allergic reactions.
- Clostridium difficile
- associated colitis (rare).
Precautions
- Clarithromycin is contraindicated with certain QT
- prolonging drugs.
- Amoxicillin contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitivity.
- Inform physician of all current medications (multiple drug interactions).
- H. pylori eradication should be confirmed by a test
- of
- cure.
- Keep out of reach of children.
