XLH-KIT H. pylori treatment kit

Indication

XLH-KIT is a combination pack for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection as part of triple therapy, to treat and prevent recurrence of peptic ulcer disease associated with H. pylori.

Ingredients

• Lansoprazole 30 mg
• Clarithromycin 500 mg
• Amoxicillin 1000 mg

Direction

Adults: Take all three components (proton pump inhibitor + two antibiotics) twice daily for 7–14 days as directed by a physician. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• or abdominal pain.
• Taste disturbance (metallic taste — clarithromycin).
• Headache.
• Skin rash or allergic reactions.
• Clostridium difficile
• associated colitis (rare).

Precautions

• Clarithromycin is contraindicated with certain QT
• prolonging drugs.
• Amoxicillin contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitivity.
• Inform physician of all current medications (multiple drug interactions).
• H. pylori eradication should be confirmed by a test
• of
• cure.
• Keep out of reach of children.
