Allertec-K 10mg

Indication

Allertec-K (cetirizine 10 mg) is a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial), urticaria (hives), and other allergic conditions including sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and skin itching.

Ingredients

• Cetirizine hydrochloride 10 mg

Direction

Adults and children 12 years and over: Take one 10 mg tablet once daily, with or without food. Children 6–12 years: Take 5 mg twice daily or 10 mg once daily. Reduce dose in patients with renal impairment as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• somnolence (mild)
• Dry mouth
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Nausea (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to cetirizine
• hydroxyzine
• or piperazine derivatives.
• May cause mild drowsiness — use caution when driving or operating machinery.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment (dose reduction required).
• Avoid alcohol
• which may potentiate sedative effects.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
