Indication

Telfast 180 mg (fexofenadine) is a non-sedating second-generation antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) such as sneezing, runny/itchy nose, and watery eyes, and to treat chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) in adults and adolescents.

Ingredients

• Fexofenadine hydrochloride 180 mg

Direction

Adults and adolescents 12 years and over: Take one 180 mg tablet once daily, with water. Do not take with fruit juice (apple, orange, grapefruit) as this can reduce absorption significantly. Take on an empty stomach or at least 1 hour before meals.

• Dizziness (rare)

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to fexofenadine or terfenadine.
• Avoid taking with fruit juice (apple
• orange
• grapefruit) — significantly reduces bioavailability.
• Avoid antacids containing aluminium and magnesium within 2 hours of taking fexofenadine.
• Use with caution in patients with severe renal impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
