Indication

Sinex Forte Suspension is a combination cold and flu preparation used for symptomatic relief of upper respiratory tract infections including nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild fever, and cough in children.

• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide (DXM/DMR) — strength not specified on label

Direction

Administer as directed by a physician or as per package label, adjusted by age and weight. Shake well before each use.

Side effects

• Drowsiness (cetirizine component).

• urinary retention (antihistamine effect).
• Elevated blood pressure (phenylephrine).
• Gastrointestinal upset.
• Rarely: allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Not for use in children under 2 years without medical supervision.
• Avoid concurrent use with other products containing paracetamol
• antihistamines
• decongestants
• or cough suppressants.
• Do not exceed stated dose
• paracetamol overdose causes liver damage.
• Phenylephrine: use with caution in hypertension or cardiovascular disease.
• Dextromethorphan: avoid with MAO inhibitors.
• Cetirizine may cause drowsiness
• supervise children near water.
• Keep out of reach of children.
