LEVID Tablet 25 mg

Indication

Used for the management of functional dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), nausea and vomiting, and as a prokinetic agent.

Ingredients

• Levosulpiride 25 mg

Direction

Adults: 25 mg three times daily before meals. Treatment duration as directed by physician.

Side effects

• Drowsiness
• Extrapyramidal symptoms
• Hyperprolactinemia (galactorrhea
• amenorrhea
• gynecomastia)
• Weight gain
• Tardive dyskinesia (with prolonged use)
• QT prolongation (rare)

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pheochromocytoma
• prolactin
• dependent tumors
• and GI hemorrhage/obstruction.
• May cause tardive dyskinesia with prolonged use — monitor for involuntary movements.
• May prolong QT interval.
• Reduces seizure threshold — caution in epilepsy.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
