Indication
AMLOCOR-5 is a calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and the prophylaxis of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine besilate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg
Direction
Adults: 5 mg once daily. Dose may be adjusted up to 10 mg once daily after 7–14 days as directed by a doctor. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.
Side effects
- Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling).
- Headache.
- Flushing.
- Dizziness.
- Fatigue.
- Nausea.
- Palpitations.
Precautions
- Do not stop without medical advice.
- Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
- Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice.
- May cause ankle swelling
- report to your doctor.
- Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Monitor blood pressure regularly.
- Keep out of reach of children.
