AMLOCOR-5 Amlodipine Besilate 5mg

Indication

AMLOCOR-5 is a calcium channel blocker used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and the prophylaxis of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina.

Ingredients

• Amlodipine besilate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg

Direction

Adults: 5 mg once daily. Dose may be adjusted up to 10 mg once daily after 7–14 days as directed by a doctor. Take at the same time each day, with or without food.

Side effects

• Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling).
• Headache.
• Flushing.
• Dizziness.
• Fatigue.
• Nausea.
• Palpitations.

Precautions

• Do not stop without medical advice.
• Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment.
• Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice.
• May cause ankle swelling

• Consult a doctor during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Monitor blood pressure regularly.
• Keep out of reach of children.
