FROCIP Syrup Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2mg + Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg per 5ml

Indication

A combination antihistamine and nasal decongestant syrup used for the symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis, common cold, sinusitis, and upper respiratory tract congestion with associated runny nose, sneezing, and nasal stuffiness.

Ingredients

• Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg per 5 ml
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride 5 mg per 5 ml

Direction

Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml (two teaspoons) every 4–6 hours, up to 4 times daily. Children 6–12 years: 5 ml every 4–6 hours, up to 4 times daily. Children 2–6 years: 2.5 ml every 4–6 hours under medical supervision. Do not exceed the stated dose.

• Nausea
• gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Urinary retention.
• Restlessness or excitability in children.

Precautions

• May cause drowsiness
• avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Do not take with alcohol or other CNS depressants.
• Avoid in patients with uncontrolled hypertension
• severe coronary artery disease
• or hyperthyroidism.
• Use with caution in patients with glaucoma
• enlarged prostate
• or urinary retention.
• Not recommended for children under 2 years.
• Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
