Square Zinc 20 Zinc 20mg Dispersible Tablet

Indication

Treatment of zinc deficiency and as adjunct therapy in acute diarrhoea in children (reduces duration and severity). Also used in the treatment and prevention of growth retardation.

Ingredients

• Zinc sulphate monohydrate equivalent to Zinc 20mg
• dispersible tablet

Direction

Children under 6 months: 10mg once daily for 10–14 days. Children over 6 months: 20mg once daily for 10–14 days. Adults: 20mg once daily. Disperse tablet in a small amount of water before administration.

Side effects

• Nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain (usually dose

• Metallic taste.
• Rare: copper deficiency with long
• term high
• dose use.

Precautions

• Do not exceed recommended doses.
• High doses may interfere with copper and iron absorption.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Keep out of reach of children.
