Centrus Alumina, Magnesia, Simethicone suspension, 170ml

Indication

Relief of symptoms associated with excess stomach acid including heartburn, acid indigestion, upset stomach, and bloating/gas. Antacid and antiflatulent combination.

Ingredients

• Aluminium hydroxide
• Magnesium hydroxide
• Simethicone (dimethicone)
• suspension 170mL

Direction

Adults: 10–20mL (2–4 teaspoons) four times daily after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Constipation (aluminium
• related) or diarrhoea (magnesium
• related).
• Rare: hypermagnesaemia
• hyperaluminaemia in renal impairment.

Precautions

• Do not use for more than 2 weeks without medical advice.
• Consult a doctor in patients with kidney disease (magnesium and aluminium accumulation).
• May reduce absorption of other medications if taken concomitantly — take other medicines at least 2 hours apart.
• Keep out of reach of children.
