Indication
Treatment and prevention of zinc deficiency. Used as adjunctive therapy in diarrhea management in children.
Ingredients
- Zinc sulphate 100mg (equivalent to elemental zinc 22.5mg)
Direction
Adults: Take 1 tablet once daily with food or as directed by a physician. Children: dose based on age and weight as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Diarrhea
- Metallic taste
Precautions
- High doses of zinc may interfere with copper absorption.
- Take with food if stomach upset occurs.
- Avoid simultaneous use with calcium
- iron
- or phosphorus supplements which may reduce zinc absorption.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
