Alpha CHOAY Chymotrypsine

Indication

Treatment of oedema, inflammation, and traumatic haematoma following surgery or injuries. Also used as an anti-inflammatory adjunct in respiratory conditions to reduce sputum viscosity.

Ingredients

• Chymotrypsin (alpha
• chymotrypsin) proteolytic enzyme

Direction

Adults: 1–2 tablets three to four times daily before meals. Some formulations dissolve sublingually. Follow prescriber or product label instructions.

Side effects

• Nausea
• gastrointestinal upset.
• Rare: allergic reactions.

Precautions

• Do not use in patients with bleeding disorders or those on anticoagulant therapy.
• Contraindicated in patients with hepatic impairment.
• Consult a doctor before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Keep out of reach of children.
