MEGAT SUS. Almagate 1.5g

Indication

Relief of symptoms associated with gastric hyperacidity, including heartburn, acid indigestion, gastritis, and peptic ulcer disease.

Ingredients

• Almagate 1.5g per 10ml suspension

Direction

Take 10ml (1 sachet) suspension 1–3 times daily, preferably 1–2 hours after meals and at bedtime. Shake well before use if in suspension form.

Side effects

• Constipation
• Diarrhoea
• Nausea
• Rarely: hypermagnesaemia in patients with renal failure

Precautions

• Avoid concomitant use with other medications within 2 hours as aluminium/magnesium compounds may impair absorption.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
• Prolonged use should be under medical supervision.
• May cause constipation or diarrhoea.
