Indication

Treatment of intestinal worm infections including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, pinworm, and other susceptible nematode infections.

Ingredients

• Albendazole 400mg

Direction

Adults and children over 2 years: Take 1 tablet (400mg) as a single dose. Take with food, especially fatty food, to improve absorption. May be repeated after 2–3 weeks if necessary.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Abdominal pain
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Elevated liver enzymes with prolonged use

Precautions

• Not recommended in children under 1 year.
• Contraindicated in pregnancy — use adequate contraception during and for 1 month after treatment.
• Monitor liver function in patients on prolonged therapy.
• May cause dizziness — caution when driving.
