Indication

Treatment of hypertension and stable angina pectoris. The combination provides complementary mechanisms for blood pressure and heart rate control.

Take 1 tablet once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.

Side effects

Precautions

Do not stop abruptly — taper atenolol dose to prevent rebound hypertension or angina.
Avoid in patients with bradycardia
heart block
or asthma/COPD.
Use with caution in diabetes (atenolol may mask hypoglycaemia signs).
Monitor blood pressure
heart rate
and renal function regularly.
Contraindicated in pregnancy.
